Our Story
The founder, Davinder, came to Canada with his wife and young children, carrying nothing but determination and a dream for a better life.
He worked tirelessly, attending school full-time while supporting his family, and proudly earned his Red Seal Millwright License.
Starting out as a grinding man, Davinder quickly developed a reputation for precision, reliability, and dedication.
After gaining years of hands-on experience, Davinder took a leap of faith and opened Midland Tooling.
What began as a small workshop with just a few machines grew steadily through hard work and word of mouth.
Over time, Midland expanded its services to include cylindrical, internal, and surface grinding, as well as manual lathe, milling, CNC, and VMC machining.
Davinder built his business on values of accuracy, craftsmanship, and on-time delivery — values that still define Midland today.
For over 40 years, Midland has proudly served industries across the region, earning the trust and loyalty of its customers.
